About Us

Laszlo’s Caring Kitchen was founded by Michael Fischer in honor of his late father, Laszlo Fischer. A child survivor of the Holocaust, Laszlo instilled the importance of Shabbat to his family, observing this weekly tradition until his death in 2020 from Covid. Michael will forever cherish these dinners with his family and wants to ensure other Jewish families are also able to experience it, regardless of their financial circumstances.

With the help of volunteers, we cook all the food in house (Under strict rabbinical supervision) and deliver them prior to shabbat. The fresh meals are rotating on a weekly basis and include Freshly cooked Proteins (Chicken, Beef, Turkey, Salmon, Tilapia and/or other proteins), Vegetables, Starches, Challah Rolls and Kedem Grape Juice. We have fed over the last year thousands of families and the program continues to grow with waiting lists that are endless.

Each meal is prepared using the freshest ingredients resulting in restaurant-quality dinners. They are individually packaged and personally delivered to each recipient. Each meal includes a protein (chicken, beef, turkey, salmon, to name a few), vegetables, a starch, two Challah rolls and Kedem grape juice. All cooking and prep work is done under strict rabbinical supervision.

Mitzvah Projects for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs

A Mitzvah Project is a community-oriented initiative that Jewish teenagers often undertake in preparation for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah.
The word “mitzvah” is Hebrew for “commandment” or “good deed”. Mitzvah projects are a way to connect with faith, give back to the community, and make a positive impact on the world. Help feed those in your community that are hungry.
